So at the moment I am on a writing retreat.  I am really enjoying the Tholos.  It is a space of contemplation, support, energy and fun looked after by Heather Blakely. What am I doing there?  All will be revealed in time but needless to say I am creating things.

I have been thinking a lot about the blogging and the millions of people using technology all over the world.  So many voices clamouring for people to please read their blogs.

Now I find really it’s a matter of finding communities of artists, writers, mothers, or whatever or whoever we are most interested in to communicate with.   It’s a tool to stay in touch with those we truly know or potentially can know.  We test the waters and see what people are like.  Are the real, are they pretenders? I am finding many ways to find the real and the pretending.

So recently I closed many of my blogs to all but people I knew and I set up passwords, why SO MUCH SPAM, argh this week we have also had TELEPHONE spam galore, calls from India, calls that don’t stop and so we ask them to stop.  Thankyou wordpress for spam filters! Can’t you spam people get a hint!!!

I’d like to know a little bit about my readers, and not feel people are just looking for somewhere to advertise their stuff.  One day also I will have a commercial site, and that is a new venture for me on the horizon.  But you know I have found some wonderful wonderful people who blog.  And amazing people who share their photographs despite the copyright risks.  People who are real- who I might never know but for their bravery to venture out into the cyberspace and say here I am get to know me.

So I am so glad to have met people who like to write, who take wonderful photographs, who have a conscience, who share with me their wonderfully spooky, happy, stories about life.  They do indeed make my day.  I love to see quirky animations, hilarious little creatures, amazing memories, creative worlds like Lemeuria and I find this spell of the www is just mind boggling, or should I say mind googling.

If you enjoy this blog, even a short comment is appreciated.  Let me know what you blog and I will visit when I can if its something I like to read.  I love receiving visits from anyone from the rookery, from good flickr friends, and from friends and family.  I wish you all the best, and will be back from time to time to continue the story of the writing retreat.

As for lesson plans, yes well I still do them- ask me if you want to know how to access these.
